Boy's Baseball Update

As of April 26, 2010, the Exeter West Greenwich Varsity baseball team has a record of 4-4.  Although the pitching has been weaker this year due to graduating students, the team has made up for it with lockdown defense and smart hitting.  Spending long hours at batting practice has improved the team significantly since March.  Captains Ryan McElroy and Ryan Lacombe both have helped lead the team further than most people anticipated.  Lacombe shows impressive confidence on the mound as well as behind the plate while McElroy brings energy and motivation that the team needs this year.  Pitcher Ronny Patalono has also been exceptionally well, showing his impressive ability on the mound. Sophmore TJ Cacciola, with 2 homeruns and incredible feilding skills, has also been a huge asset to the team's line up. As the the first half of the season comes to a close, the Knights are in a competitive spot in which anything can happen.
